Moon Mind :::
2.04 Mars moves to Libra at 1:22 am CST and joins Saturn and Rahu there. See this week's horoscopes for further details on this. Moon transits Pisces and Revati nakshatra until 16:57 CST when it moves to Aries and Ashwini nakshatra. This will likely create a noticeable shift in the day. Things begin swiftly today and Pushan brings his guidance and treasures to us on the path. Give gratitude and let him show you the easiest route to the reward. Time management will be very helpful. As Moon moves into Ashwini, the day shifts towards an edge of accomplishment, goals and action steps. Healing and new awareness take center stage. Look for insights and illumination as Moon nears Ketu. Moon in Aries receives drishti from Saturn, Rahu and sandhi Mars. Take action carefully and if you feel "out of step" the effects will be from sandhi Mars. Careful driving and traveling. Use your evening for rejuvenation and relaxation. Watch emotions for the next few days as Ketu and Moon conjoin in Aries. Anger, rage, frustration and impulse reactions are likely.

Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
6.4 Moon has crossed the tricky gandanta junction of Pisces to Aries and now transits Ashwini nakshatra. Many felt this difficult passage on Monday (day of Moon) especially on the emotional level. Tuesday (day of Mars) brings a certain fierceness with it as Moon also transits a Mars sign (Aries) and a nakshatra ruled by Ketu (who acts like Mars in many ways). Ashwini nakshatra is ruled by the Ashvini-Kumara- the Ayurvedic twin "doctors to the gods." Their father is the Sun (Surya) and he conceived them when he was in horse form (Asva means horse in Sanskrit). The horse is deeply symbolic to this nakshatra- not only because of their strength and power, but also because horses are known to possess an anti-venom for snake bites. This holds both metaphoric as well as literal meaning. The Asvin twins are powerful sources against black magic (snakes), dark deceitful behavior's and personalities and are able to fight poisons (they are known for their rasayanas/life giving treatments and their ability to purify). They use both medicine as well as the creative arts as healing tools. The Vedic literature also speaks to our senses being like "five horses pulling us" and thus requires our great skill and strong handling. Good horsmanship/horsewomanship is essential. Otherwise we literally get dragged around by the horses! Use today for purification purposes, tying up loose ends, tackling to-do lists and clean diet/routine. Watch the company you keep and notice the flies buzzing about the horse stalls. As Venus has just moved to Ardra, you may notice the relationships and friendships that are the least life/soul supporting suddenly showing up wanting to hang out. Use clear boundaries and intentions as you navigate difficult personalities and unhealthy motives. Don't waste your time leading horses to water.... Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
05.08.13 Moon transiting Aries in Ashwini nakshatra until 19:30 CDT.Ashwini is ruled by the Asvin twins- Dasra and Satya, doctors to the gods and masters of Ayurveda. There is an ability to heal and be healed here as well as to rejuvenate and purify. There is great strength and power as well since this nakshatra is connected to horses (Asva means horse in Sanskrit). Great skill with art and creativity can be enlivened with this nakshatra; art truly being a healing and rejuvenating rasayana. Be moved today, carried, by creativity. Let the creative and artistic pulse move you beyond the ego and the mind, and into the deeper intelligence of your being. Use the emotions and the physical body to open the door, but let surrender get you where you need to go. Today, Moon joins Mars, Sun, Ketu and Mercury in Aries and receives drishti/aspects from Saturn and Rahu in Libra. The mind and intuition are going through a lot today and for the next few days. Transition, transformation, change is par for the course. Stay out of the heat and honor deep surrender. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
04.10.13 The new moon occurred in the wee hours of the morning in Revati nakshatra as Sun, Mars, and Venus were all simultaneously in Revati as well. (Read more about the significance of this and the metaphors of this week in the attached article). Moon is now waxing (bright half) yet still very young and expressing her silence. Moon and Venus have now entered Aries and are sitting with Ketu- they have crossed the delicate gap between Pisces and Aries, though are still Sandhi (weak in degrees, vulnerable, in the nether-realms). Both Venus and Moon are now transiting Ashwini nakshatra as well. Ruled by Ketu, Ashwini's ruling deity is Asvini Kumara, the Asvin Twins, who are connected to healing and rejuvenating. The Asvin Twins have magical healing abilities, and are particularly connected to the Rasayana branch of Ayurveda. The symbol here is a horse- connecting this nakshatra to the strength of the horse, but also alludes to the senses. In the Vedic texts we are said to be ruled by our five senses, or five horses. "Good horsemanship" is essential for our proper evolution and spiritual progress. Asvini is also connected to transportation (horses were once the primary method of travel) as well as medicine, the healing arts, creativity, art and music. Use this time for healing and rejuvenation through the arts, creativity, love, restorative practices, herbs and proper diet and routine. Imbibe the essence and experience of rasayana. Mars and Sun are sandhi as well and will be in Aries by the end of the week. Mercury has moved to Pisces (is also sandhi) and now transiting its debilitation sign. This is a delicate time with four planets vulnerable, in weak degrees. The veil is very thin right now with the astral realms. Use this time to connect with the ancestors, meditate, connect with Source and your higher Self. Be delicate with your Self and others. Use this time for spiritual growth and practice. Tomorrow is the first day of Navaratri. Moon Mindfulness ::: Mind Your Moon
03.14.13 Moon has entered Aries and is in Ashwini nakshatra. Moon is slowly gaining it's strength and power as it begins waxing (bright half). Ruled by the Asvini Kumara, twins who are doctors to the gods. This nakshatra has to do with rejuvenation and healing, Ayurveda and rasayanas. In Ashwini, rasayanas and healing tools span a spectrum of possibilities. Music, art, intuitive insight and creative skills are enlivened here. The symbol is a horses head, a glorified mode of transportation in the ancient days, but also a nod to the senses. Often the five sense are expressed in the Ved as being driven by five separate horses. They each have a will of their own and must be reigned in or they will have their way with you! You will end up being dragged around tirelessly by the crazy desires of the senses if you don't learn how to hold the reigns properly. For those who understand good horsemanship, you know that befriending and nurturing the bond with your horses is required for crucial understanding between horse and rider, but you also understand who is the rider and who is the horse. The analogy is the same for the senses. Befriend, guide, nurture, but remember who is holding the reigns! Use the power of the horse to move you in the right direction today. Travel a clear Path. Choose experiences and actions that bring you health and longevity. Go for illumination and insight. Remove what is harmful and toxic. Use your expression and creativity to steer your horses in powerful directions. Let your horse dance. |
